User Data Deletion

1. If you can sign in to your account

If you can sign in, you can delete your account directly from My Page.

1. Sign in to BodaNovel.
2. Go to My Page → Account.
3. Open the "Delete account" section at the bottom of the page.
4. Read the notice, type the confirmation text, and press the "Delete" button.

As soon as you press the button, all data listed below is permanently deleted. This action cannot be undone.

2. If you cannot sign in to your account

If you cannot sign in (lost password, removed social login such as Google or Facebook, etc.), please request deletion as follows.

• Email [email protected] with the subject "Account deletion request" and the email address you signed up with.
• Or use the Contact page with the "Account deletion" category, including verification details (sign-up email, social login provider, etc.).

After we receive your request and verify your identity, we process it within 7 business days and reply to your email when it is complete.

3. Scope of deleted data

The following data is permanently deleted from BodaNovel's database upon withdrawal:

• Account info: email, password hash, name, profile image
• Social login links (Google, Facebook, and other OAuth connections)
• Bookmarked works
• Per-work reading progress (last read episode, progress)
• Per-episode read history
• Comments you wrote
• Inquiries you submitted

However, certain records subject to a legally required retention period are stored separately for that period and then automatically destroyed. For details on the retained items and periods, please refer to the Privacy Policy.

4. Removing the connection at the social login provider

If you used social login (Google, Facebook, etc.), deleting your BodaNovel account does not affect your social account itself. To also remove the app permission on the provider's side, please revoke the "BodaNovel" connection in each provider's security/app settings.
